Park Avenue Animal Hospital
Stillwater Technologies, Inc. prepared civil engineering plans for an animal hospital located at 859
N. Park Avenue in Apopka, Orange County,
Florida.
Park Avenue Animal Hospital is located on 0.54 acre of land and contains one 3663 square foot building.
Prior to the architectural and engineering design, Stillwater's survey department provided a boundary,
topographic and tree survey on the
parcel to establish the property boundary and elevations.
Upon completion of the survey, Stillwater engineers commenced designing the project. The project required
a new retention area, a liftstation for the wastewater and tying into the existing utilities for the
stormwater and potable water. A new parking area was also designed to accommodate the new facility.
The permitting agencies involved in the project were the City of Apopka, Orange County, St Johns River Water
Management District and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Orange County received a plan
set for review per their E-Plan requirements. The Orange County E-Plan was required because the project was connecting to County Road 435 (Park Avenue). When
an E-Plan is submitted, the county submits to all of their departments.
Stillwater coordinated with Orange County Parks Department to access Park Avenue from the site. The site is
adjacent to the Florida Bike Trail, which travels parallel with Park Avenue in parts of Apopka.
Orange County Parks Department provided comments and Stillwater addressed the comments. The plan set was
transmitted to FDEP Parks department for state approval. Stillwater worked with FDEP Parks to obtain an easement across the trail for access to the project.
