Site Assessment & Restoration

Successful site restoration depends on accurate site characterization. Stillwater insures that site assessments are strategically focused to avoid the expense and delay of collecting inaccurate or redundant data. Stillwater is eminently qualified in the use of innovative techniques for soil and groundwater investigations. Once a site is adequately characterized we can design an effective and economical remedial system by adapting new or established technologies to site-specific conditions. We can prepare complete design packages that include process flow diagrams, P&ID, equipment specifications, electrical, civil, structural, and related drawings.
Our system design experience includes remediation of soluble petroleum constituents BTEX, LNAPLs, DNAPLs, and metal compounds. Stillwater has design experience with many systems and technologies for remediation of contaminated groundwater, including slurry containment walls, hydraulic containment, extraction trenches, extraction wells (both vertical and horizontal), free-phase recovery systems, recharge wells, trenches and infiltration basins, dual-phase extraction, in situ and ex situ bioremediation, ultrafiltration, oil/water separation, air stripping, LPGAC, ultraviolet (UV)/chemical oxidation, ion exchange, metals precipitation, filtration, breakpoint chlorination and filter press sludge dewatering.
